BSG's Ron Moore writing sci-fi movie trilogy
Tom Cruise’s UA has hired him…
After bringing us nearly four seasons of the superb sci-fi re-invention Battlestar Galactica, you’d forgive Ron Moore for taking a breather, enjoying a glass of his favourite whisky and maybe a big cigar. But nope – the man behind the Cylon attack isn’t resting on any laurels. He’s already signed up to a sci-fi project with US network Fox, is overseeing Battlestar prequel Caprica and has now done a movie deal with United Artists.
Yes, Tom Cruise’s company has hired him to write a massive science fiction trilogy. Sadly, the exact details of the films are locked in a special No-Leak chamber deep in UA’s shadowy HQ so we don’t know what it’s all about. But Moore’s presence at the word processor gives us hope it’ll be frakkin’ brilliant. Variety has dradis contact.
