Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 multiplayer guide
Lock and loadout
Call of Duty is practically as much a November tradition as Thanksgiving is at this point, at least to gamers. For the past nine years, we’ve seen this series evolve and grow from an excellent World War II shooter to a monstrous gaming behemoth that sells tens of millions of copies each time a new entry to the series is shipped. That trend is sure to be repeated with Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2, the first game in the series to jump into the 2020’s and delve into a realm of combat that heavily involves robotics and electronic warfare.
While that leap has plenty of interesting implications for BLOPS2’s single-player campaign, it has a lot of ramifications for the multiplayer portion, as well. You might not quite be flipping your phaser between “stun” and “kill,” but the technological upgrades that Treyarch has assumed will be available in another decade do make for some interesting twists in multiplayer. On top of that, they’ve also implemented an interesting new Pick 10 system that allows you to completely customize your multiplayer loadout to emphasize the tools that fit your style of play.
Gamesradar’s guide to Black Ops 2’s multiplayer will help you get your feet wet in one of the biggest games of the year. In addition to a bevy of general tips, we’ll also look over the new perks, scorestreaks, and the ways in which the new Pick 10 system will change the way you customize your character builds. This guide isn’t going to make you a pro overnight, but it might help you avoid plenty of new-player mistakes, so read on!
