Cannes 2011: Cillian Murphy meets Wayfaring Strangers
WWII psychological thriller...
Irish actor Cillian Murphy is in talks to join Wayfaring Strangers , a WWII-set thriller.
An Irish-French co-production, the film sees a group of elite British paratroopers captured by German soldiers and held in a remote farmhouse, where a young Jewish couple have also taken refuge.
Acting legend Sir Michael Gambon along with French stars Sylvie Testud (L a Vie En Rose ) and Niels Arestrup ( Un Prophet ) are also in talks to round out the cast.
So Murphy and Gambon in the same pic, with a psychological-thriller angle on a World War II story? Sounds good to us.
Filming is due to start mid-August.
