Carey Mulligan has Shame
Joins Steve McQueen’s next film
Carey Mulligan and James Badge Dale have signed up to co-star with Michael Fassbender in drama Shame .
Steve McQueen’s second film after 2008’s impactful Hunger , Shame follows Brandon (Fassbender), a Manhattan office mule who is addicted to sex.
Though the roles to be played by Mulligan and Dale are yet to be confirmed, The Playlist has seen the film’s script, and suggest that Mulligan will play Sissy, Brandon’s sister. Though it’s just as likely she could be Marianne, one of Brandon’s co-workers whom he strikes up a relationship with.
Dale, meanwhile, looks set to take on the role of Brandon’s boss, David.
Shame will shoot for six weeks in New York, and should be released in late 2011. By that time we should also have had our first look at Mulligan dolled up for Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby. ..
