The long-developing fairy tale satire is finally about to arrive
It seems like years since we first learned that a Shrek-like fairy tale film was chugging through the halls of development hell, bringing to life a CG-flavoured tale of a girl (voiced by Sarah Michelle Gellar) who learns that a force of evil is trying to take over the land where she lives. So what does she do? She decides to stand up and fight for once in her life.
The movie was first announced way back in 2003, and was produced independently, but was nabbed by US distributor Lionsgate this year, which will shove it into cinemas Stateside early next year.
There’s no word yet on when the film will make its way over here, but for now you can enjoy the trailer by clicking here or watch a new clip from the film, which is lurking here .
