Carol went down a storm at the recent Telluride festival, with Blanchett and Mara both singled out for praise as the two halves of the film’s central relationship. Directed by Haynes and co-starring Kyle Chandler, Sarah Paulson and Jake Lacy, it opens in the US on November 20 2015 and the UK the following week.
