Charlie Hunnam drops out of Fifty Shades Of Grey
Cites busy TV schedule
Sam Taylor-Johnson is going to have to return to her shortlist of brooding billionaire sex fiends, as Charlie Hunnam has officially dropped out of Fifty Shades Of Grey .
Hunnam had initially been confirmed to play wealthy BDSM enthusiast Christian Grey, only for the Sons Of Anarchy star’s busy TV schedule to prove too demanding.
“The filmmakers of Fifty Shades Of Grey and Charlie Hunnam have agreed to find another male lead given Hunnam’s immersive TV schedule which is not allowing him time to adequately prepare for the role of Christian Grey,” read Universal’s official statement.
Looks like the rumour mill will be clanking back into gear once more, as the studio seeks to replace Hunnam as swiftly as possible. Drop your suggestions below...
Co-starring Dakota Johnson as naive literature student Anastasia Steele, Fifty Shades Of Grey will open in the UK on 1 August 2014.
