Charlize Theron riding Ferris Wheel
A tragic drama of child abandonment
Charlize Theron’s calendar must look like a crowded mess these days as she’s agreed to star in several films. The actress has already signed on to Stuart Townsend’s Battle In Seattle, Paul Haggis’ In The Valley Of Elah and Alan Parker’s The Ice At The Bottom Of The World. Add to that her producing duties on several films and you wonder when she gets the time to sit down with a mug of horlicks.
And she’s added yet another film to her bulging schedule – indie drama Ferris Wheel. It already features Woody Harrelson, Nick Stahl, The Reaping’s AnnaSophia Robb, Dennis Hopper and Hugh Jackman’s better half, Deborra-Lee Furness.
It’s the sad story of a girl (Robb) trying to come to terms with her mother abandoning her. Oh, and Charlize is producing this one, too… Bill Maher will direct from Zac Stanford’s script and it all starts next month.
