Check out Beauty and the Beast's live-action versions of Lumiere and Cogsworth

Beauty and the Beast is next up on Disney's slate of live-action re-imaginings of animated classics, and thanks to a post on producer Jack Morrissey's Facebook, we've gotten our first glimpse at Lumiere the candelabra and Cogsworth the clock, two of the 1991 film's iconic sidekicks.

Lumiere (played by Ewan McGregor) and Cogsworth (played by Sir Ian McKellan) are represented here as concept art, described by Morrissey on his Facebook (as originally reported by iO9) as what director Bill Condon is attempting with the film: "reality, but with a lush fantastic look."

Additionally, Morrissey posted a set image from what appears to be Gaston's musical number (which you're probably humming in your head right now). You'll be able to get a closer look at this (and more) in a special sneak peek featurette on the upcoming 25th Anniversary Blu-Ray release of Beauty and the Beast on September 20. Of course, there's always the teaser trailer to tide you over until then.

Directed by Bill Condon and starring Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, Luke Evans, Emma Thompson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Ewan McGregor, Ian McKellen, Josh Gad, Kevin Kline, and Stanley Tucci, Beauty and the Beast is set for release on March 17, 2017.

David Roberts
David Roberts lives in Everett, WA with his wife and two kids. He once had to sell his full copy of EarthBound (complete with box and guide) to some dude in Austria for rent money. And no, he doesn't have an amiibo 'problem', thank you very much.
