Check out Evangeline Lilly's Wasp costume in a new shot from Marvel's Ant-Man sequel
After Paul Rudd charmed us all in Ant-Man we are buzzing (sorry) that the Marvel superhero will be paired up with the Wasp for a sequel. Evangeline Lilly, Lost star and kickass elf from The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, takes the role of the Wasp and today, finally, shared a shot of herself in costume.

Like Ant-Man, the Wasp can shrink down to miniature proportions. Lilly is playing Hope van Dyne, the daughter of the original Wasp, Janet van Dyne. "I’m excited because it’s essentially going to be the origin of the Wasp," Lilly told Sy Fy Wire. "Of course, we’re going to see the Wasp for the first time take on the mantle and put on the suit and fly about and do her thing."
She's been using social media to show off her training for the movie, #waspworkout, and revealed she finished her first week of filming earlier this month. The glimpses we have seen have done two things: made us feel very bad about skipping the gym and confirmed our suspicions that she's going to make an impressive addition to the Marvel family.

Ant-Man and the Wasp is set for release on July 6, 2018. We'll also see Lilly as the Wasp in the untitled fourth Avengers film.
