Chris Hemsworth confirmed for Snow White And The Huntsman
Finally lands the role
As Thor continues to rake in the cash at the box office, star Chris Hemsworth has landed the role of the Huntsman in Universal’s Snow White And The Huntsman .
Hemsworth has been rumoured to be in the running for the role ever since Viggo Mortensen backed out, and he’s finally clinched the part.
The Aussie native will work alongside Kristen Stewart, Charlize Theron and Sam Claflin in the production, which is being directed by Rupert Sanders.
Putting a spin on the classic fairytale, Sanders’ film sees the Huntsman going on the run with Snow White after he fails to fulfil the Evil Queen’s orders to kill her.
As he teaches her how to survive in the wilds of the forest, a romance flourishes between Snow White and the Huntsman.
Hemsworth is also currently attached to a remake of Red Dawn , and stars in The Cabin In The Woods , which opens later this year. He’s currently still playing Thor in The Avengers.
