Christopher Guest will have a Night At The Museum
He’s playing Ivan The Terrible in the sequel…
Night At The Museum may not have been the greatest film, but it made lots of money and now the sequel’s busy filming.
The follow-up now has an official subtitle (Battle Of The Smithsonian) and has been adding funny folk at a rate of knots to supplement the returning Ben Stiller, Robin Williams, Owen Wilson and Ricky Gervais.
Christopher Guest is the latest addition, stepping out of his usual improv projects to play Ivan The Terrible. And he’s not the only new arrival. Superbad’s Bill Hader will play General Custer, Jon Bernthal is Al Capone and Alain Chabat will be Napoleon. Oh, and if that’s not enough, writers Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant are cameoing as the Wright brothers. The Hollywood Reporter is touring the exhibits .
