Colm Meaney and Sean Pertwee join The Alan Partidge Movie
Plus, some familiar faces will return
The Alan Partridge Movie has added some more names to its steadily growing cast, with Colm Meaney, Anna Maxwell Martin and Sean Pertwee all signing on.
No word as yet on who they will be playing, but the trio join an existing cast of comic performers including Tim Key (Sidekick Simon), Phil Cornwell (Dave Clifton), Felicity Montagu (long-suffering PA, Lynn), Simon Greenall (Michael) and Nigel Lindsday (who appeared as different characters in Mid Morning Matter and I'm Alan Partridge ).
The film will reportedly find Alan battling for his job at North Norfolk Radio when the station is bought out by a large corporation. Will they too remain deaf to the prospect of Monkey Tennis?
Beyond that, we know very little in terms of plot details, suffice to say that Alan’s ego will be under threat once more. Still, it’s weathered plenty of abuse up to now…
And it has been revealed by producer Phil Loader that one big sequence involves Partridge being chased by police cars from Norwich to Cromer (via EDP24 ) .
Directed by first-time helmer Declan Lowney, The Alan Partridge Movie will open in the UK on 16 August 2013. Cashback.
