Costume Quest fans to be treated to 'Grubbins on Ice' DLC in December

Double Fine's sugary sweet tribute to Halloween is getting a new chapter for the holidays. The studio has announced that it will be extending its quirky Costume Quest adventure this December withthe game's firstDLC pack, Grubbins on Ice.

Grubbins on Ice finds the original trick-or-treating heroesscouring the suburbs for evidence of their Halloween adventure. Finding none, Wren, Reynolds, Lucy and Everett stumble into the ominous snow-covered world of Repugnia where they are once again tasked with collecting candy, assembling costumes and stopping whatever half-baked plans the Grubbins have cooking.

The DLC will introduce new costumes such as the Pirate, a Track Suit and Eyeball, each of which will again have their own unique exploration and battle abilities. Double Fine has said that it will also be addressing some of the more irksome gameplay issues from the original by adding a true save system and allowing gamers to pause during cutscenes and adjust the speed of the written text (not that it wasn't a joy to read, mind you).

Grubbins on Ice will be available soonon both Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network. For more, Gamespot hasthe first lookat the DLC.
