Shai-Gen's district is appealingly exotic as well. Every landmark's architecture seems inspired by a different part of the real world. The curvaceous, shoreline Exhibition Center reminds one of the Sydney Opera House, while the canals that divide the Corridor are manmade tributes to Venice. A rooftop garden complete with pagoda is unmistakably Chinese and the ubiquitous neon advertising could be ripped straight out of Tokyo or New York City.
