Crackdown is back as an Xbox One exclusive
Talk about overkill...
A new sequel to futuristic open-world actioner Crackdown has been announced at E3. Overseen by the series' original creator, Dave Jones, the game is exclusive to Xbox One.
The trailer didn't seem to be in-game (and if it was, it looks incredible), but showed a complex and frankly ludicrous multi-man attack on a building containing a single man target. Playing pool. The carefully-planned attack utilised a tanker covered with explosives and a sniper to start them off, after using a building (in the process of being demolished, I should add) as a ramp, in order to explode the top of it and use that as a demolition ball. To kill one man.
If the game is anywhere near this footage, it should be spectacular. The release date was not given, so it's safe to assume this'll be out in 2015.
