Crytek devs dropping into Crysis 2 multiplayer demo this Saturday
Crysis 2 promotion pits player versus Crytek
It's kill Crytek weekend on Xbox Live! This Saturday, studio staffers at Crytek will be logging on to the Crysis 2 multiplayer demo to take on any Xbox Live member who dares to challenge them on their home turf.
The promotion will take place during Microsoft's Free Gold Weekend, this Saturday from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm PST and 11:00 pm to 2:00 am GMT. A full list of Crytek gamertags has been posted to the site, along with a multiplayer video briefing to level the playing field for those of us who haven't spent the last year or so of our lives getting acquainted with the maps.
Earlier this week, Crytek responded to criticisms over an abundance of bugs and glitches in the multiplayer demo, issuing a statement on their forums that read: "We do understand that a few players are having technical issues with the demo. We are working to resolve this as quickly as possible, we apologize if it is affecting your experience. We appreciate your patience and support."
It isn't likely that Crytek will iron out all the kinks in the demo by this Saturday, but one can bet that after the devs have their fun this Saturday, they'll be working overtime to polish up Crysis 2 for its official release on March 22.
