What is the Cyberpunk 2077 level cap? Well, the answer differs depending on whether you own the Phantom Liberty expansion or not. If you don't and you're just playing the base game, the level cap is 50, whereas if you do own the DLC which sees you visit Dogtown and encounter Idris Elba, the level cap is raised to 60. This means anyone who owns Phantom Liberty can literally become stronger than those who don't, and while there isn't any multiplayer to show off your build, you still want to have the best Cyberpunk 2077 builds possible. However, there's also your Street Cred level to factor in, so we've explained all of that and more below.

Cyberpunk 2077 character level cap

The Cyberpunk 2077 level cap for your V is now level 60 if you've got the Phantom Liberty expansion, but remains at level 50 otherwise.

Levelling up requires XP and you can earn varying amounts of it by doing pretty much anything in Night City. Each time you increase your level, you get one Attribute and Perk point to spend, but you can earn Perk points through other means too.

The maximum level for each Attribute is still level 20, however, so while you still can't max out all five Attributes to level 20, you will get closer thanks to those extra levels. Remember, there's also the new Cyberpunk 2077 Relic skill tree to level up in Phantom Liberty.

Cyberpunk 2077 Street Cred level cap

There's also a Cyberpunk 2077 Street Cred level cap, though this has not been increased since Phantom Liberty's release and remains at level 50.

Street Cred reputation is typically earned during missions and from completing side gigs and other activities out in the city. Higher Street Cred will earn you access to better gigs from Fixers, better discounts at shops, and an increased range of items from vendors, including ripperdocs and clothing stores.
