Daisy Ridley is keeping her Star Wars 8 hairstyle under wraps

The level of secrecy on the new Star Wars movies has been pretty strict. Indeed, all we've seen from Episode VIII so far is a few set photos and some unrevealing teases from director Rian Johnson, which is unsurprising given the movie is still 18 months away from release.  

What is surprising is that that no spoiler policy now extends to Daisy Ridley's hairstyle. The actress took to Instagram to share a video of her workout, explaining that she "ran to the gym between different set ups so wore a pillowcase on my head to protect my REY HAIRSTYLE from Instagram’s gaze".

So what could Ridley be hiding under that pillowcase? Scuttlebutt suggests that Rey will be sporting a more natural look in Episode 8, and it's possible that Ridley's new 'do could give us a clue about her parentage. Or we're all reading far too much into this...

Directed by Rian Johnson and starring Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Laura Dern, Mark Hamill, Adam Driver, Gwendoline Christie, and Benicio del Toro, Star Wars: Episode 8 opens in cinemas on December 15, 2017.
