Danny Boyle in discussions to direct Steve Jobs biopic
Leonardo DiCaprio could star
Sony looks to have found a replacement for David Fincher to direct its forthcoming Steve Jobs biopic, with Danny Boyle reportedly in talks to join the project.
Fincher had long been attached to the film, although he recently dropped out of proceedings, reportedly over a pay dispute.
According to THR , Boyle is now in negotiations with the studio, and is thought to have already contacted Leonardo DiCaprio with a view to signing him up for the leading role.
Fincher had earmarked Christian Bale to play the part, but it seems as though Boyle is keen to re-team with his old The Beach star for another go-around.
With a script from Oscar-winner Aaron Sorkin, the film will follow Jobs through three key points in his career, as he prepares to launch three major Apple products. A release date has yet to be confirmed.
