It’s A Wonderful Life , an old movie with Jimmy Stewart.
What do you like about it?
It’s just a real Christmas story where he wishes for something and it comes to him. He really finds out what Christmas is all about.
And what is Christmas all about for you?
Family and friends, and not drinking when you drive.
The Food...
What kind of food do you like to eat at Christmas?
Traditional Mexican Tamales.
And drink?
I like eggnog. For Christmas, eggnog is real good.
Best Christmas...
What was your best Christmas?
Christmas of 1969.
What was special about that?
I got out of prison August 23rd of 1969, so it was my first Christmas I had on the streets in while.
What did you do?
I just stayed home, and really enjoyed being at home and spending Christmas with the family.
Best present...
What’s the best Christmas present you’ve ever received?
My kids got together and painted me a picture.
I think the oldest was about 8 or 9 and the littlest 3 or 4.
And what was the picture of?
Just a picture of the family - mom, dad, brothers, sisters.
Worst present...
What’s the worst present you’ve ever received?
I don’t think I’ve ever received a bad one… Maybe a shirt.
What’s the best present you’ve ever given someone?
I think I gave a leather jacket to my wife… that’s what she wanted.
Worst Christmas...
What do you think is your worst Christmas memory?
From 1962 to 1969.
What is Christmas in prison like?
Not very happy. The violence in prison always goes up over the holidays.
People start thinking about home and stuff.
If you could put one thing on your Christmas list this year what would it be?
For my kids to stay healthy. My son Robert is releasing an album; I hope it’s successful.

When did you shoot A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas ?
A couple years ago.
Was it at Christmas or was it Summer or…?
It was sunny all the time. We had fake snow all over the place. It was an amazing time.
How did you get into the Christmas spirit?
Wearing an ugly sweater.
