Dark Souls 2 Spells guide
Pyromancies
Pyromancy Flame
Since the pyromancy class is no longer available in Dark Souls 2, you'll need to equip this to use pyromancies. It's found after defeating the Flexile Sentry in No-Man's Wharf. Climb the ladder in the next room and open the chest up there for the weapon.
Dark Pyromancy Flame
This is a stronger pyromancy catalyst you can find in The Gutter. While moving toward the fog gate, you'll be on a platform across the chasm from the gate. Drop through the square hole in this platform, then bust up the pots on the walkway outside. The corpse inside one holds this weapon.
Acid Surge
Can be purchased from Straid of Olaphis at the Straid's Cell bonfire in The Lost Bastille.
Chaos Storm
You'll find this in the second big area of the Iron Keep, with the movable walkways and lava below. In the back left corner is a path of coagulated lava you can cross to a chest containing this pyromancy. Be sure to use as many fire-resistant items as possible before going after this; soaking in the water pots in the room will also help.
Combustion
This is found en route to the Skeleton Lords boss from the Undead Lockaway bonfire in Huntsman's Copse. On the other side of the waterfall, continue past the fog gate to the skeleton-filled tunnels. In the same chamber (with the spell-caster), look for a side tunnel that leads to a corpse. It holds the spell.
Can also be purchased from Rosabeth of Melfia in Majula.
Great Combustion
Can be purchased from Titchy Gren at the Undead Purgatory bonfire.
Fireball
Found in the same chest as the Pyromancy Flame.
Great Fireball
After defeating The Duke's Dear Freja, you'll head down a hallway and face a regular enemy who drops the Brightstone key upon defeat. Once you've acquired this, head back to the chapel by the spider web pit that took you to the boos room. Open the door here, then the next to find a chest containing this.
Can also be purchased from Rosabeth of Melfia in Majula.
Great Chaos Fireball
Received upon reaching Rank 3 of the Brotherhood of Blood covenant. See our Dark Souls 2 covenants guide for more information.
Can also be purchased from Chancellor Wellager in Drangleic Castle during New Game Plus.
Fire Orb
Can be purchased from Rosabeth of Melfia in Majula.
Firestorm
After climbing the tall ladder past the Central Castle Drangleic bonfire in Drangleic Castle, enter the wooden door in the chamber with the stone knights. Move into the next large hall to encounter a Mastodon Knight, four Alonne Knight Archers, and two weaker knights. On the balcony further from your entrance is a chest containing the pyromancy - but watch out for the archers up there too!
Can also be purchased from Titchy Gren at the Undead Purgatory bonfire.
Fire Tempest
This one is hard to find if you don't know where to look. Start from the Rhoy's Resting Place bonfire in the Shrine of Amara, and backtrack. After battling the archdrakes and sorceresses, you'll come to a small house. Turn left and move out into the water, taking care not to fall off the edge. Out here are some frog enemies, a few curse pots, and a very well hidden chest containing the pyromancy.
