David Slade talks taking on the Daredevil reboot
“We have not yet discussed any cast”
Twilight Eclipse director David Slade has spoken out about landing the Daredevil reboot as his next job.
“Without breaking confidentiality, yes Daredevil , we have a great outline for a very strong character driven take on Mr Matt Murdock,” he Tweeted yesterday.
“It will bare [sic] no relation to the previous Daredevil movie in any way. We are at early planning stages and have not yet discussed any cast.”
The director also debunked rumours that he was interested in taking on The Wolverine now that Darren Aronofsky has departed the project.
“There have been no discussions about this project to date,” Slade confirms. “Interesting to see what will happen with that as the again excellent script by Chris McQuarrie was set largely in Japan.”
Making sure he didn’t miss anything, Slade finally addressed The Last Voyage Of Demeter , revealing “Noomi Rapace and Ben Kingsley want to do it, so do I”.
Looks like Slade’s year is going to be a pretty busy one...
