Dead Island GameStop preorder bonuses detailed
Early-adopter Special Edition contains free DLC and weapon
Not everyone's excited enough by a groovy backwards-moving trailer and the word “zombies” as to plunk down cash on Dead Island, sight unseen (but hey, if you are, thanks for keeping the economy afloat). For those more scrupulous souls who actually want something to show for their early purchasing, publisher Deep Silver has announced details for buyers who reserve a copy of the title at GameStop.
In addition to a free copy of the first DLC, a four-stage Bloodbath Arena, those who preorder will also get access to that DLC's exclusive weapon, the Brain Wave Bomb. The Special Edition also contains blueprints for another exclusive weapon, the Ripper, and features new, more stylized and RRE4-looking cover art. Here it is here.
