Ryan Reynolds reveals a new Deadpool image

Ryan Reynolds has revealed another image from the set of Deadpool, showing off an action shot from the new production, in which the titular hero throws himself through the air in the midst of a firefight.

While most of the shots we've seen so far have been posed extras designed to promote the film, this one looks to have been directly lifted from a sequence that will actually appear in the film. Exciting stuff...

Stuck the landing. With my mouth.

The new shot comes shortly after Reynolds tweeted a special Mother's Day message, in which the character puts his own inimitable spin on the Sunday celebration. The image shows the Merc with the Mouth holding a newly delivered baby. However, it's the accompanying caption that's the real winner. Check it out below…

For those interested, "since 1991" is a reference to the character's Marvel Comics introduction. Deadpool made his bow back in Fabian Nicieza and Rob Liefeld's New Mutants #98, published back in February 1991.

Directed by Tim Miller and co-starring Morena Baccarin, Gina Carano and Ed Skrein, Deadpool will open in the UK and US on 12 February 2016.
