Supergirl has added a pair of new names to its growing cast list, with both additions sure to be familiar to fans of all things Krypton…
The first name is Helen Slater, who famously appeared as Kara Zor-El back in the 1984 film version of Supergirl, while the second is none other than Dean Cain, titular star of Lois & Clark: The New Adventures Of Superman.
Both actors also had roles in prequel series Smallville, with TV Line reporting that the pair are officially on board for the pilot episode of the forthcoming series.
No details have been confirmed as to who they’ll be playing this time around, but as stunt casting goes it’s certainly fan-pleasing stuff.
Co-starring Melissa Benoist, Calista Flockhart and David Harewood, Supergirl will premiere on CBS later this year, with an exact date to be confirmed.
