Free-to-play browser game scheduled to launch next Summer
A free-to-play MMO based in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine universe is scheduled to be launched next summer.
Star Trek: Infinite Space is being developed by indie studio Keen Games for German games publisher Gameforge. There’s some real Trek expertise behind the project, too, in the form of husband and wife team Michael Okuda and Denise Okuda, who have both worked on the TV franchise in art and design roles, as well as having written loads of Trek reference books. Michael Okuda’s most famous contribution to the franchise was designing the look of the Federation’s LCARS computer system.
“Our production team will work closely with Keen games to bring the vision we have for Star Trek: Infinite Space to fruition,” says Gameforge VP of Publishing Ralf Adam.
