Dennis Hopper gets a Swing Vote
He’s joining Kevin Costner’s comedy
If the idea of Dennis Hopper and Kevin Costner sharing the screen for any footage save the Oscars has your mind screaming Waterworld and your fingers clawing at your eyes, take heart.
Because we’re almost completely convinced that their latest cinematic match-up – starring Costner as a regular bloke who is thrust into the limelight when a presidential election comes down to his vote – should prove to be a lot less difficult to endure.
Hopper has signed to play the Democratic candidate, while Kelsey Grammer’s playing the Republican currently sitting pretty in the White House. And with the likes of Nathan Lane and Stanley Tucci also in the cast, it promises to be a chucklesome affair.
Joshua Michael Stern is hoping everyone shows up to start acting on 23 July, when he kicks off shooting in New Mexico.
