ABC is joining the season of the witch. Yep, forget zombies, it wiccans who are really taking the limelight on TV. They’ve already overrun True Blood ; there’s Kevin Williamson’s The Witch Diaries … sorry The Secret Circle coming this autumn; and CBS is developing a remake of Bewitched .
Now, reports Deadline , ABC want to cast its own spell with a show called Wicked Good , that, “centers on a family of witches, soldiers in an eternal battle between good and evil, who are dispatched to suburban Orange County, where they must root out dark forces while battling the challenges of everyday life in suburbia.”
It’s being written by Jason Richman, creator of gritty cop drama Detroit 1-8-7 .
You’d think ABC would be wary of witches after Eastwick . Still, the new show couldn’t be any more insipid, could it?
