Destiny's next Iron Banner update will feature Clash mode as the means of competition for the first time ever. Unlike previous Iron Banner challenges which had players fighting to control territories across the map, Clash is a straight-up 6-on-6 PvP deathmatch.
Bungie also noted in the announcement of the revamped Iron Banner that rewards will be increased across the board. Reputation from winning matches increased by 20%, activity completion rewards are increased at all ranks - with more significant increases at Rank 2 and above - reward packages from Lord Saladin upon reaching Rank 3 (which can contain Iron Banner Artifacts) and Rank 5 (which can contain Iron Banner Ghost Shells).
In short: better stuff and a new mode should make next week's Iron Banner feel quite different. I guess you could call it a Clash of the Titans (and Warlocks, and Hunters).
