Destiny: Xur weapons, gear, and location, August 5-7. Zhalo Supercell!
Xur, much like the Renegade Master, Pokemon, Turtles and, apparently, Trolls, is back. Yep, Destiny's favourite hooded hero is next to the Speaker in the Tower and ready to exchange Exotics for your hard earned Strange Coins. Here's what he's got on offer. Remember, no touching unless you intend to buy. No one wants an engram covered in fingerprints.
• No Backup Plans (Exotic Titan Gauntlets) - 13 Strange Coins
• Graviton Forfeit (Exotic Hunter Helmet) - 13 Strange Coins
• Apotheosis Veil (Exotic Warlock Helmet) - 13 Strange Coins
• Zhalo Supercell (Exotic Auto Rifle) - 23 Strange Coins
• Legacy Engram (Primary Weapon) - 31 Strange Coins
• Three of Coins - 7 Strange Coins
• Glass Needle - 3 Strange Coins
Now, let's get Zhalo Supercell out of the way. This an auto rifle you can definitely get behind. Figuratively as well as literally. An Arc powered bullet fest, it's a bit of beast and can deliver chain lightning damage and, once you've levelled it up sufficiently, will give you Bolts from the Blue which means double kills will refill a slice of your super meter and return ammo to the magazine. It's a great elemental primary so if you're not already equipped, it's definitely time to invest.
Moving onto No Backup Plans, Xur's staying in our good books with these Titan Gauntlets. The Force Multiplier perk means shotgun kills trigger your Force Barrier and the duration of said Barrier is increased. If a shotgun is your go to close combat weapon and you've got War Machine or Gift of Light active to give your Force Barrier even more perks, you could do a hell of a lot worse than this bonus.
Xur's Hunter offering is good news too. The Graviton Forfeit Helmet hands over Elusive Shadow which if you haven't unlocked the Nightstalker's Shadestep, gives you it for free. Shadestep is an ultra handy move with all kinds of sneaky benefits. A press of crouch will basically turn you into a mist as you teleport sideways. You can use this for dodging projectiles, grenades and pretty much anything that anyone would like to throw at you. Plus, it makes your face look like purple smoke.
And finally, the Apotheosis Veil helmet for all you Warlocks out there makes a hat trick of excellent offerings from his tentacled-ness this weekend. Ultra handy for Crucible times, this helmet gives you a full refill of health, melee and grenades once you activate your Super. Find yourself at a loss with just your Super left? Get cracking on those triggers and bring yourself back into the game. Happy weekend Destinying, Guardians.
As ever, Xur will be in the Tower until 10am UK / 2am PT on Sunday, at which point he'll vanish for the week. Let's face it, he's probably playing Pokemon Go. (Tangela is is favourite).

Destiny 2 players were right: Bungie confirms an issue "in our code" making some god roll guns harder to get, and says it has already identified a potential fix
Denied their crafting fix, Destiny 2 players got so unlucky that they started conspiracy theories about the MMO's drop rates, and got so loud Bungie had to correct them
