Destiny: Xur weapons, gear, and location, June 2 - 4. Monte Carlo and Red Death!
Is Xur going to E3? Who can tell. Maybe that bag's luggage, maybe it's some kind of matter three dimensional beings like us can't fully comprehend. What we can understand though is guns and shiny new hats. What has he got this week?
- Helmet Legacy Engram 29 SC
- Crest of Alpha Lupi (Titan chest armour) 13 SC
- Mask of the Third Man (Hunter helmet) 13 SC
- Skull of Dire Ahamkara (Warlock helmet) 13 SC
- Hard Light auto rifle 23 SC
- Monte Carlo auto rifle/Superspy ornament – 30 SC and 25 Silver Dust
- Red Death pulse rifle/Steel Witch ornament – 30 SC and 25 Silver Dust
First up there's the Crest of Alpha Lupi for Titans. It's not bad - speeding up revives and dropping an extra orb when activating your super - but far from the sort of thing you can't wait to tell anyone about. Solid, if you play support, but unspectacular overall. Like a digestive biscuit with good intentions.
After that we've the Mask of the Third Man, which is defintely worth getting if you're Hunter who likes a bit of Blade Dancing. It extends your Super, meaning you can dance for longer - slicing up more enemies and causing far more slashy trouble. It also gives you bonus Super energy for melee hits in PvE, so you can let rip more often as well.
There is a real duffer this week, though: the Warlock's Dire Ahamkara’s Skull. All you get is an armour boost when using your Nova bomb. So it's a specific and not particularly helpful addition to your space wardrobe. The sort of thing you loved in the shop but then never wear again.
Gun-wise, Hard Light is pretty unspectacular. Maybe worth looking at if you really like the ricochet perk, but otherwise maybe save your coins for the other two because they're absolutely worth the coins. The first of the weapon bundles get you Monte Carlo, which is a must have. It boosts your melee charge with each kill, along with a random chance of a full top up, meaning you can give out some serious hurt. Red Death is another insta-get - it heals you and speeds up reloads with each kill. Plus its Unflinching Perk and High Caliber Rounds means you can really kill things extra dead.
As ever, don't forget Three of Coins, Exotic Shards and you've got until Sunday morning to grab what you can.
