Destiny: Xur weapons, gear, and location, March 11 - 13. Heart of the Praxic Fire!
Xur, Destiny’s visiting weekend merchant, storied fireside raconteur, and moderately successful owner of a small garden centre, is back in The Tower. Specifically, he’s in the hangar bar trying to cheat underage drinkers out of their money with cheap cup-and-ball tricks. What are they going to do about it? Call security? They’re not even supposed to be in there! Oh Xur…
Anyway, this week, he’s also selling this lot:
- An Insurmountable Skullfort (Exotic Titan helmet) – 13 Strange Coins
- Achlyophage Symbiote (Exotic Hunter helmet) – 13 Strange Coins
- Heart of the Praxic Fire (Exotic Warlock chest armour) – 13 Strange Coins
- Legacy Engram (Helmet engram) – 31 Strange Coins
- Exotic Engram [Helmet] – 19 Strange Coins
- Three of Coins – 7 Strange Coins
- Glass Needle - 3 Strange Coins
What’s good? Heart of the Praxic Fire. Heart of the Praxic fire is everything this week. Quite possibly the top piece of Warlock Exotic armour – certainly, if you’re playing a SunSinger build – it boosts Radiance by giving it even faster ability cooldowns, increases solar armour, and makes you more agile. Basically, if you want to charge though the middle of mobs hurling upward of a dozen grenades like it ain’t nothing - and who doesn’t, really, deep down in their heart – then this one is for you. Combine it with Flame Shield on your melee, and no-one’s going to touch you.
The other stuff? ‘Salright. The Insurmountable Skullfort is best – provided you melee a lot – being as it spawns you in with a full flask of punch juice, gives you an extra charge, and hands out extra melee regen on orb pick-ups. And bonus Super energy from melee kills. And it also recharges your health whenever you use Storm Fist. Okay, it's better than alright. Titans, you could do a lot worse.
As for the Achylophage Symbiote, it’s limited of perks, but pretty handy with the one it does have, giving you an extra Golden Gun shot and thereby imparting a 30% damage increase against a single target. Or just making you extra dangerous in The Crucible. The choice is yours.
As ever, Xur will be in the Tower until 10am UK / 2am PT on Sunday, at which point he'll vanish for the week. So make sure you stock up while you can.
Also, interesting point of note: Despite the supposedly random nature of Xur’s stock, you’ll notice that this is almost exactly the same line-up he was slinging on December 18 last year. Yet if you do click that link, you’ll also notice that I wrote a whole fresh article for it, rather than just copying and pasting the last one. Because I just love you so damn much.
