Devs pitch in to help Nepal earthquake disaster
Bungie is raising funds for the Nepal Earthquake disaster with the sale of an exclusive Guardians to the aid of Nepal T-shirt on its online store. All profits from the shirt will go straight to charities in direct relief efforts in Nepal. Purchasing the T-shirt also gives you access to an exclusive Destiny in game shader and emblem. Priced at $24.99 you can pre-order the shirt which will ship in June here. Over 1000 T-shirts have already been ordered for the cause.
Ubisoft is also aiding in relief efforts. The studio has pledged to match $100,000 of donations to the disaster. The studio states on its Canadian Red Cross donations page; “Having spent the last few years working on Far Cry 4, a game heavily inspired by Nepal and its people, it is with heavy hearts that the Far Cry family pulls together to raise money for the Canadian Red Cross, who are mobilizing their travelling hospital team to Kathmandu to offer support and medical assistance.”
