Diane Keaton and Robert De Niro to sail gently down the stream
Starring in Justin Zackman’s wedding rom-com
Hollywood heavyweights Diane Keaton and Robert De Niro have joined the romantic comedy Gently Down the Stream , which will be directed by Justin Zackham.
Keaton and De Niro will play a divorced couple who pretend to be blissfully married and in love for the sake of their son on his wedding day.
As the relationship between the two turned sour years previously, comedy naturally ensues when they try to get along for the whole 24 hours without their brilliant plan unravelling.
The stars, who previously acted together in 1996 's Marvin's Room , have both proven to have great comedic flair, with De Niro stealing the limelight from Ben Stiller in Meet the Parents , and Keaton even stripping off for Jack Nicholson in 2003’s Something’s Gotta Give .
Katherine Heigl has also joined the cast, along with Mamma Mia starlet Amanda Seyfried.
According to Zackman, we can expect the same kind of vibe as his previous comedy The Bucket List , but with “a little bit more sex and bad behaviour.”
