Disney's Wreck-It Ralph gets a cool retro poster

Wreck-It Ralph , the forthcoming animation from Disney, has released a first teaser poster, featuring the titular antihero's face in glorious 8-bit pixels.

The film will follow the adventures of Ralph (John C. Reilly), the nominal bad guy in an arcade game called Fix-It Felix . Ralph is good at his job, but let's face it… villains don't get much love, particularly in video games.

So, when a shiny, first-person shooter is installed in Ralph's arcade, he can't resist the opportunity to have a bash at playing the hero. Soon enough he's sneaked from one game to the other, but his would-be heroics soon unleash a deadly virus that threatens every game in the arcade.

Can Ralph save the day? Luckily for him there's a troublemaking glitch (Sarah Silverman) from a neighbouring racing game who might just be able to avert crisis, before it's too late…

Featuring vocal support from the likes of Jane Lynch and Jack McBrayer, Wreck-It Ralph will open in the UK on 15 February 2013. In the meantime, you can check out the poster in all its blocky glory, below.
