Dive into the depths of Maneater with this new trailer
Maneater is an upcoming open-world shaRkPG. Not familiar with the concept? You’re not alone. In a way, it’s the first game of its kind. Sea-based action games have certainly been around, but in Maneater, your objective is to become the apex predator of the sea; the type of shark that makes it into the history books. The most recent trailer shows off several ways you’ll be accomplishing this megalodon-sized goal through details about gameplay systems as well as some fun commentary from the game’s reality show inspired narrator. Check it out below:
While the concept of controlling a shark and eating people is simple, it’s incredible that the developers at Tripwire Interactive have managed to give it so much depth. Through the various teases of gameplay over the past couple months, it’s now abundantly clear that the game really strives to do the ‘R’and ‘P’ in shaRkPG justice; which is why Maneater has become one of the most anticipated G’s of the summer. This recent trailer has affirmed that on top of some stellar looking gameplay, we’re going to have a great world to get lost in; one that certainly doesn’t take itself too seriously (see: snoozing Shark on an inflatable unicorn). All in all, it seems like Tripwire Interactive have paid attention to the right details, and this trailer has given us a final glimpse of what’s to come when we’re able to get our fins on Maneater this Friday.
