Do other developers hate Grand Theft Auto?
We speak to Bungie, Epic, Gearbox and more to find out if GTA punches their buttons
Oskar Burman | Development Director |Avalanche Studios
GamesRadar: There's no denying GTA IV is the most anticipated game of the year on 360 and PS3: what are your feelings about the game from what you've seen so far?
Oskar Burman: Being an open-world games addict I'm definitely looking forward to the release, mostly for the classic single player experience but it will also be interesting to see how the new multiplayer component is received by the gaming audience.
GR: How many of the other GTA games have you played and which one did you admire most?
OB: I've played them all, and Vice City is by far the best in my opinion. The story, the setting, vehicle handling, music... It all makes one perfectly mixed Piña Colada! The one I've played the least is probably San Andreas. I couldn't stand the eating/exercising parts.

GR: From a developer point of view how do you rate Rockstar?

OB: You can't do anything other than admire Rockstar North, being able to release one top rated game is hard enough, and being able to do it over and over again, while selling shit loads of them is just an astonishing effort. Hail to the king!
GR: Will you be buying GTA IV on day one?
OB: I'll probably be busy exploring the world of our own Just Cause 2 since we're in quite a hectic period right now, but I'll definitely pick it up during the weekend. :)
