Doctor Who Christmas Special - title announced
This year’s Doctor Who Christmas special has revealed its official title, with Den Of Geek reporting that the festive episode will be called Last Christmas.
The obvious question is whether or not either of the Doctor’s two hearts will be making their way to a loved one, but you’ll have to wait until 25 December to find out…
In the meantime, a brand new image has been released from the special, featuring the Doctor standing next to Clara and, er, Father Christmas, as played by Nick Frost.
Rumour has it this year’s seasonal extravaganza could hail Clara’s departure from the show, although Jenna Coleman has been playing her cards close to her chest, reasoning that, “it’s much better that nobody knows which way it’s going to go…”
You can read more about "Last Christmas" in issue 256 of SFX magazine, on sale Wednesday 10 December – Peter Capaldi even reveals that he thinks the next Doctor "might be female".
Answers will hopefully come gift-wrapped on Christmas Day, when Doctor Who airs on BBC1 in its traditional teatime slot at 6.15pm (UK time).
