Figures show that 6.18 million viewers tuned in to see Doctor Who "The Bells Of Saint John" live on Saturday night.
The episode peaked at 6.68 million coming third for the night after Ant And Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway (7.19 million) and The Voice (6.24 million). But that remains an outstanding performance for the early time slot, and, yes, Doctor Who is currently number one on the iPlayer chart. Good solid start the 50th Anniversary year.
Here’s how that compares with the rest of series 7 so far:
“Asylum Of The Daleks” – 6.38 million
“Dinosaurs On A Spaceship” – 5.5 million
“A Town Called Mercy” – 6.38
“The Power Of Three” – 5.49 million
“The Angels Take Manhattan” – 5.9 million
“The Snowmen” – 7.59 million
