Don Cheadle talks Iron Man 3
Discusses character’s relationship with Tony Stark
Having sat out on the Avengers excitement, Don Cheadle will be returning to the Marvel fold in Iron Man 3 , and has been talking a little about what we can expect from the third installment in the series.
“I’m not supposed to say that he kills Robert Downey Jr.’s character,” jokes Cheadle of his character, War Machine. “Is that a spoiler? That would be a spoiler. You knew that was coming. You read the comic books.
“I will just say that the buddy relationship that these guys have gets tighter,” he continues, more seriously. “The third act set piece for the big finale is bigger and badder. It’s just a lot more.”
And when asked how his kids feel about having their dad in a superhero movie, Cheadle reveals that they aren’t too fussed by his comic-book credentials.
“I don’t think it matters to them,” he chuckles. “They still want me to drive them places and go get food and take them to movies. It doesn’t really matter. They haven’t asked me to fly them there yet.”
Directed by Shane Black and co-starring Gwyneth Paltrow, Ben Kingsley and Guy Pearce, Iron Man 3 opens in the UK on 26 April 2013.
