Dying Light: The Following's weaponised buggies are shockingly good
Just when you thought Dying Light couldn't deliver any more content in its The Following expansion due out next month, Techland has revealed some of the customisation options for your buggy. While upgrading engine options and personalising your dashboard with bobbleheads is fun, it's the weapons on offer that look ridiculously exciting.
While there's the standard options of a ramming bar and a flame thrower, there's also a UV safezone to blind the undead and an electrical cage. As you'll see in the trailer below, the latter can be linked up to a remote control device for some seriously satisfying zombie slayage.
"Your buggy is going to be crucial to surviving out in the open, so we want to create an emotional connection between players and their ride," explains producer Tymon Smektała. "On top of the lethal weapons and upgrades you’ll be able to add, there are a lot of cool paint jobs, a number of unmistakable bobble heads and little charms to put inside, so you can really make the buggy your own."
This comes after Techland announced that 250 Legendary levels are coming to all Dying Light players on the same day as The Following is released. The expansion includes an area bigger than the main game itself and is available as part of the season pass. To buy separately on February 9th it will be £15.99/$19.99.
