E3 2010: 20 more Dreamcast games coming to PSN/XBLA: These?

What: Outtrigger

Why: This FPS came along right at the end of Dreamcast's life. With smooth gameplay better suited to today's twin-stick pads, this would be yet another game to benefit from online multiplayer.

What: Propeller Arena

Why: Because it never got released! One of the last console games Yu Suzuki ever worked on, this was due for release in September 2001. Yup - just days before it was supposed to go on sale, 9/11 happened and everyone got scared of releasing media featuring planes and skyscrapers. Now all that's over, it would be great to be able to sample this online multiplayer air combat game in a way even better than it was originally meant to be seen.

What: Ready 2 Rumble Boxing

Why: As a throwaway two-player scrapper, Ready 2 Rumble Boxing is hard to beat. The 2D audience members would look crap in HD so something would have to be done with the graphics, but even if it were released 'as-is', it would still be better than the abysmal Wii version.

What: Quake III Arena

Why: It's one of the finest multiplayer games ever made. True, you can play it for free in your browser these days, but a full-fledged XBLA/PSN version would kick ass. If only to hear 'PHOBOS' come booming through our speakers once more.

What: Skies of Arcadia

Why: Because it's a superb RPG and we don't want to have to pay through the nose to some git on eBay to play it now. If it had a slight graphical overhaul, it would probably be as worthy as a modern RPG.

What: Space Channel 5

Why: Because it's Space Channel 5. And a quick re-render of the video backgrounds in 1080p would make this look just as good as a modern game. We've already had Ulala's legs in HD in Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing and the like, but nothing's going to top the original.

What: Virtua Fighter 3TB

Why: That 'evade' button was a controversial addition to the series, but it sure does make for an interesting fighting game. It always looked slightly old-hat on DC, even at the time, but a quick wash and brush-up for today's machines would do it the world of good. The combat system is as slick as ever - complete with Aoi snapping people's bones for fun. Snick!

What: Zombie Revenge

Why: It's a House of the Dead spin-off scrolling beat-em-up that nobody's heard of. It may have awful cut-scenes and even cheesier dialogue than the first Resident Evil, but the game itself is deep, challenging and full of spectacle. It was always a bit low-rent for a £40 game, but selling it for 1200MS Points would be just right for this little biter.

What: Shenmue II

Why: Seeing as the Dreamcast game only ever had Japanese voicing and didn't even get a North American release, it would be a nice little gift to fans to get the Xbox's English translation added to the game and released on PSN. Again, this one looks a tad old today, so a high-res (even higher-poly?) version would rock.

What: Power Stone

Why: The original is probably the best to play, and seeing as Capcom released it on PSP not so long ago we should imagine they'd be willing to let it have another outing.

That's just 20 of the machine's many, many classics. Add in Sonic Adventure 2, Crazy Taxi 2, Fighting Vipers 2, House of the Dead 2... and you've got yourself a phenomenally strong list of potentials. Simply. Can't. Wait.

Have we missed any out? Let us know what you'd like to see in the download stores in the comments.
