E3 2011: Minecraft port coming exclusively to 360
Indie fave hits Xbox this winter, adds Kinect controls
Just announced exclusively for the Xbox 360 is a port of PC/Mac indie darling Minecraft, complete with Kinect functionality. No details or demos were given on how Kinect controls will work, but we do know the ambiguous release date is sometime this winter.
Game creator Markus "Notch" Perssonconfirmed that the game won't bea straight port of the PC version, and that the task of porting it will be handled by an as of yet unnamed studio. No word on if this version of Minecraft will be the final complete game or if we'll continue to play the perpetually-in-Beta version. No info yet on price points, server details and just how much money was in the dump truck that backed into Notch's driveway for this deal. Check back for more info.
