E3 comes to you via Xbox Live
See the future of 360 firsthand
Microsoft will be enabling gamers to experience the delights of this year's E3 games show in LA via Xbox Live this May.
Gold members on Xbox 360's online service will be able to download demos of the games present at next month's expo, read the latest news and watch videos of the event, all from the Marketplace.
As Peter Moore, Microsoft's corporate vice president for interactive entertainment business, entertainment and devices division (phew!) said in a pre-E3 interview, "It is our goal to bring E3 home to Xbox Live members as best we can, providing all the videos and news as quickly as possible. We will give a flavor of what's going on on the show floor and some of the stuff that we are showing and debuting."
Obviously, gamers won't be able to get the latest news on PS3 and Revolution, but it should be a great way for 360 owners to get a sneak preview of games they'll be playing this year. Plus there'll be no sweaty men and no lines.
E3 runs fromMay 10 toMay 12.
