Ed Harris recruited for zombie film World War Z
Matthew Fox also enlists
Ed Harris and Lost star Matthew Fox have both been recruited for zombie action film World War Z .
An adaptation of Max Brooks’ novel of the same name, it’s being directed by Marc Forster ( Quantum Of Solace ) and already has a heavyweight cast that includes Brad Pitt, Anthony Mackie and Mireille Enos.
Harris’ role is currently unknown (though you can expect he’ll play a gruff bad-ass), while Fox will play the role of Parajumper.
Set 10 years after a zombie apocalypse, World War Z follows individual survivors as they struggle to make ends meet in this brave new world.
Paramount is reportedly taking on the film as a tentpole property, which means it’ll probably be less gory and more action-driven than most zombie horrors.
Harris will next play John McCain in political drama Game Change (alongside Julianne Moore’s Sarah Palin) and will star in Neil LaBute’s The Geography Of Hope.
