Edgar Wright reveals hes directed one shot in major summer movie
But which one is it?
Edgar Wright is a pretty well-connected guy in Hollywood circles, so it should come as no surprise to hear that the director has made a guest appearance behind the camera in one of the summer’s major releases.
He recently posted a tweet saying as much, but being a bit of a tease, has refused to reveal which movie he’s referring to.
Aside from 'The World's End', I directed one shot in another summer movie. But which? #IProbablyWillNotTell April 9, 2013
Cryptic, eh? Well, given his Marvel connections, our first thought was that Iron Man 3 could be the film in question. However, Wright went on to shoot that theory down, claiming Tony Stark’s next outing was definitely not the answer.
What else could it be, then? Well, we know Simon Pegg is starring in a rather big summer release in the form of Star Trek Into Darkness . And the two are friends…
That film also received plenty of suggestions over Twitter, with Wright eventually conceding, “Yeah… some of you got it right.” A pair-up between J.J. Abrams and Edgar Wright? A geek-sandwich to savour…
Meanwhile, Wright’s next proper outing behind the camera will arrive in cinemas later in the summer, with The World’s End opening on 14 August 2013.
