Elite: Dangerous headed to Xbox One in 2015

Console space jockeys, you are not forgotten. Frontier Developments and Micrososft have announced that Elite: Dangerous will arrive on Xbox One this year.

The PC version of the massively multiplayer online space sim left beta in December, though it's continued to see a good deal of new ships and features added since then.

The Xbox One version will benefit from several of those updates, as Frontier plans to include all the content introduced in February's Community Goals update and March's Wings content update - the latter of which adds more ways for players to collaborate with friends across the galaxy.

No mention was made of any other planned console versions. GR+'s own Andy Hartup has an interview set with Frontier founder and Elite co-creator David Braben on Thursday, so be sure to check back for more details soon after that.

Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and now I'm a staff writer here at GamesRadar.
