Ellen Page set to star in Queen And Country adaptation
And would be keen on a Kitty Pryde spin-off
E llen Page is in discussions to head up an adaptation of British comic-book Queen And Country , with Fox viewing the property as a potential franchise.
Greg Rucka’s source material follows a British intelligence agent struggling to thwart a terrorist plot, while also battling with some troublesome personal demons.
Variety reports that Fox has been keen to give Page her own franchise for some time now, and views Queen And Country as the perfect vehicle to make that a reality.
Meanwhile, Page has been asked about the possibility of a Kitty Pryde spin-off (mentioned by Joss Whedon as a project he would be interested in), and the star is understandably keen.
“Well, I’m available!” Page tells Vulture . “I love that. Kitty Pryde’s awesome. I’m super grateful to be the actress who’s gotten to be her.”
“You desperately hope that the true fans who have a right to demand what they want and who have been passionate about these stories for a really long time, that you can pull it off for them. I would be so thrilled to play Kitty Pryde again, I really would.”
