If you're picking up a Meta Quest 3 this Prime Day, or if you already have one and want to enhance your experience, then there are some add-ons we can recommend keeping an eye out for. It's always great when these big sales events come along, but people often forget that some of the best value comes from accessories, as opposed to the big hardware itself.

There are loads of ways to enhance the Meta Quest 2 and 3. There are accessories from Meta itself, but in our opinion, they're a bit pricey and tend to offer less than some of the smaller third-party brands that specialize in making the best Meta Quest accessories. The good news is, even if you're opting for the older Meta Quest 2, there's a wad of accessories that are worth buying, and these always go on sale during the Prime Day Meta Quest deals season.

As a baseline, we'd recommend thinking about the main ways you can jazz up your headset. For us, it's a head strap (with or without an additional battery), a carry case, a link cable, and a charging stand. There's always an option to go for some earbuds or a gaming headset too, but this tends to be down to personal preference.

We've listed some ones to watch down below.

Essential Meta Quest 3 accessories to watch this Prime Day

KIWI Design comfort battery head strap for Quest 3$59.99$44.99 at AmazonSave $15

KIWI Design comfort battery head strap for Quest 3 | $59.99 $44.99 at Amazon
Save $15 - KIWI's head strap increases your comfort thanks to plush cushioning but also lets you play for longer thanks to a handy battery pack on its back. It's our favorite one at the moment, regardless of price, but it does get discounted fairly often. When Prime Day comes around, it's one to watch in case it drops to a new low.

NexiGo Charging Dock for Meta Quest 3$59.99 at Amazon

NexiGo Charging Dock for Meta Quest 3 | $59.99 at Amazon
NexiGo's charging station isn't exactly the most exciting or RGB-filled one you'll find on Amazon, but it might offer the best value of them all. It does the job of displaying and charging you Quest 3 and controllers, has some simple aesthetics, and is a reasonable price. When it comes to Prime Day, you've got a solid chance of getting this on sale, we see it discounted often.

Syntech Hard Carrying Case for Quest 2/3$29.99$19.99 at AmazonSave $10

Syntech Hard Carrying Case for Quest 2/3 | $29.99 $19.99 at Amazon
Save $10 - Syntech's carrying case can be the perfect pick-up-and-go solution for the Quest 3, or the Quest 2. It provides plenty of protection thanks to its hard shell, doesn't draw too much attention thanks to its grey color, but also has a lovely rounded shape that compliments the headset's curved face. If you can get it on sale for Prime Day, you'll be winning.

Syntech Link Cable 16FT$25.99$16.99 at AmazonSave $10 -

Syntech Link Cable 16FT | $25.99 $16.99 at Amazon
Save $10 - A link cable is so much more than a USB-C charging cable. It'll provide fast speeds for charging, but also for hooking your headset up to a gaming PC. It also has a right-angle at one end so it slots into your headset without tugging awkwardly at the side of your head while you play. Syntech's is the one we recommend because it offers good value, and is often found discounted during Prime Day events.

If you're opting for the older Quest 2, you might not need to wait until Prime Day to get a good discount. We'd recommend keeping your eyes peeled before the big day, as the ageing headset has seen further price dips recently. We've used our price comparison software in the window below to pull through the best prices in your region.
